This week we were learning about the letter
Cc and our 5 senses. We did lots of cool
experiments to understand our 5 senses
a little bit better. The kids really enjoyed
the taste and smelling experiments.
Exploring our sense of taste:
Georgia likes the sweet taste of syrup.
The sour lemon juice had mixed reviews.
Ava thought the lemon juice was too sour!
The turtle table explores the bitter taste of
vanilla extract.
Sweet: syrup
Bitter: vanilla extract
Salty: salt water
Sour: lemon juice
Ask your child which one they preferred. :)
Mariah works on her 5 senses paper.
Jayden explores the sense of touch
while writing his passwords in shaving cream.
Exploring our sense of smell with smelly jars.
Salma smells the vanilla extract. Mmmmm
Zoey didn't like the smell of garlic.
Emmy writes down her smelly jar predictions.
The kids had to smell the jars and make predictions
about what they thought they were smelling.
Most were correct but a few kids got the syrup
and smell of vanilla mixed up.
Center time:
Georgia and Tyler spell out their passwords
as they beat the drum.
Salma traces the cookie cutters
and then writes Cc words in the midde.
