Week of Feb. 27-March 2

We did a lot of comparing weights

of objects this week. The kids brought items

in from home. Mariah's wooden camel box

ended up being the heaviest item brought it.

These were our "I can..." statements for the week.
The tall tales will be displayed at Open House.
I am REALLY impressed with how well they turned out.

Our latest novel that we are reading is
Hank the Cowdog. I loved this series when
I was kid and the kids are really enjoying it too.
Be on the lookout for comprehension questions to
review at home. We also have been jamming out
to the Beatles. :)

We've been working hard on our

Texas books. These will be displayed

at Open House.

Ask you child about Beat the Teacher in Fast ForWord.

This has been working as a great incentive to keep

your kiddos focused on their games. Emerson and Tyler

got their scores up in the 200s yesterday, it was amazing!

Eden and Isaiah enjoying reading our version

of a Dr. Seuss book.

Here is Ava's cowgirl story.

(upside down, oops)

Examples of our Loooonnnggg TALL Texans.

This is one of MY FAVORITE activities we do all year.

They turn out precious. They will be displayed at Open House.

Our dear friend Isaiah will be attending a new school

starting on Monday. We made him a heartfelt poster.

He will be missed!

Whew, this class is full of brainiacs!

They were able to compare and contrast three

versions of Cinderella. I was really impressed!

This is 2nd grade work.
