What a great experience! I had no idea that the class would become so intrigued by the moss... but they definitely were. I think everyone in the class not only fished for it but also touched it. But besides just playing with moss, I think a lot was discovered. It was truly an educational, yet fun, mini field trip. Special thanks to my parent chaperons.
*** We did take back a jar full of the pond water, moss, and some underwater plant life. Oh, and a piece of dried moss. When moss is dry it looks very much like cardboard and/or paper. Perhaps we discovered a future valuable natural resource!
