The kids really enjoyed getting to explore
the globe and making a Venn Diagram about how
maps and globes are different.
They also have enjoyed reading and studying
the World Atlas books that we borrowed
from the library.

Gwendolyn made a list of long O words
and short O words. We talked about this in class.
See if your child can do the same thing at home.
We learned interesting facts about the octopus.
Then the kids illustrated their own octopus and wrote about it.
MISC:
Gaby, Audrey and Logan play their

Hanif has the highest score in the class!
He got to wear the Player of the Day badge.
The top 5 are: Hanif, Amir, Eva, Ben and Gwendolyn.
The green reading group got to compare animals
as pets and decide why some pets make good animals and why
some pets don't make good pets. They wrote their
answers on dry erase boards and shared with the group.

are busy reading their favorite page and then writing it
on dry erase boards.

Woohoo! Treasure chest time has arrived! This week
we started our first Treasure Chest Shop.
Your child earns tickets for good behavior and work.
On Friday mornings, they can turn in 10 tickets to me
and get something out of the Treasure Chest Store.
