Dr. Hecklestein and the Diet Coke + Mentos Experiment

 

 

Your child might be coming home today and telling you about the mad scientist, Dr. Hecklestein, that they met today. They might tell you that they think that I was Dr. Hecklestein but I was in a very important meeting while Dr. Hecklestein visited the kindergarten classes to perform the experiment. So, don't let them fool you into thinking that I was that mad scientist who just got back from Hawaii.

But I did hear that Dr. Hecklestein and the kids got to become super scientist and conduct a very important experiment with mentos and diet coke. Ask you child about the amazing diet coke explosions and how diet coke explodes compared to the offbrand coke. Did you know that diet coke explodes amazingly AMAZING while offbrand coke does nothing but barely fizzle. What a dud?!?!

So, if you want to try this experiment at home buy Diet Coke (not the cheap brand) and get ready for the explosion.
