Our letter of the week was Ss. In our centers we
wrote Ss words on dry erase boards, worked on our 4 square Ss
illustrations and labeling, read books and went on a password hunt, played with leapsters and played a letter game with letter dice.
Your children also got to play on my ipad and they worked
on making words, letters/sounds and learning the
basics of how to properly manipulate the ipad.
If you have an ipad and you want to know about some
of the apps I use, please email me. Also,
if you have suggestions please let me know.
The ipad is such a great learning tool and hopefully one day
MISD elementary students can be as lucky as the high school
kids (if you didn't know, all MISD HS students
have an ipad that is for school use only).
Everyone enjoyed Audrey's
slimey snails that she brought in for the letter Ss.
Some of the snails were trying to escape!
I think everyone's favorite part of this week
was Silly Sock Day! They enjoyed showing off their silly
socks, dancing in their silly socks and then coloring
a sock to match their own socks. Above you can see
Eva's journal entry about Silly Sock Day.
