Week of Dec. 13-17

We've been talking about verbs (action words) this week.
We've been relating verbs that we can do to verbs
that kittens can do. We read the book Mama Cat has Three Kittens to help
with our knowledge of kittens.

Above: De'Marion and Sandy work on ordinal numbers.

Kamryn is hilarious! This picture is just for
pure enjoyment!

Trey, one of my students from last year who is
also Brianne's big brother, read us a Frog and Toad
Christmas story. He did an excellent job!

Star of the Week (Dec. 13-17): Hayden

Hayden loves to be outdoors with his family. He brought in his cute little moose to share with everyone. His favorite colors are red and black.

Pizza Halves

To extend our lesson about halves, we made pizza today. Every student had a partner and they had to cut their pizza crust (an english muffin) into halves. Then their partner picked what half they wanted. After that everyone got to spread the sauce, add cheese and devour their yummy little pizzas. This is such a simple activity but the kids REALLY LOVE it. They kept telling me that it was the best pizza they had ever had -- too cute!
