Star of the Week (Feb. 6-10): Zoey

Zoey wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up.

She loves her dog and isn't a fan of cats.

Week of Feb. 13-17

We have been busy measuring with non-standard units.

The kids have really enjoyed measuring

different objects around the room.

Such as; erasers, scissors, ears, feet,

toys, their tables, each other, etc.

Tyler puts together the word puzzles and then illustrates the matches.

The kids have really enjoyed the reading center

this week. They get to read a book while sitting

in the special blue rocking chair while their listeners

write down the passwords they hear.

Tyler leads the class as we count by 10s.

Valentine's Party 2/10/12: It was a hit!

Week of Feb. 6-10

We had a visitor, Matthew, one of my students from last year. He came to read the class his journal entry.

Our 4th Grade Reading Buddies came to visit for the first time last week. They will start coming every Friday to read a book to the kindergarteners. So much fun!

We've been doing all kinds of graphs. This is one of my favorite math subjects and the kids have really enjoyed it too.
