Our Class Caterpillars

What some of our caterpillars will turn into (if all goes well)...

Last year, after a lot of research, I found out what the grey caterpillars turn into (some kind of moth). I thought I had it written down somewhere but I can't find it.. and I still can't find them on any website. But I do know that they can get HUGE and that they flip back and forth to scare off predators.

Hopefully, all goes well and soon we will have some butterflies and moths to release into the wild.

Interesting Insects

We are getting a jump start on our insect unit. I love the CAE playground because it is so full of life and really gives the students a hands on approach to learning about plants and insects. These are just a few of the different insects that we found today at recess. The kids are fascinated with insects!

Star of the Week (March 5-9): Justin

Justin's favorite colors are black and yellow.

He is super silly and he wants to be a

doctor when he grows up.

Green Eggs and Ham.. errrrr Turkey

In order to be Suesserific, we made green eggs and ham

(well we really used turkey instead of ham). I really

enjoy when we get to do fun projects like this and it

reminds me of when I was in kindergarten

and got to do FUN things. The kids LOVED

helping to make green eggs and turkey

and they LOVED getting to eat it.

Check out more info about our green

eggs and turkey at Open House!
