Check out the FANTASTIC Independent Study Character Projects:

I was blown away! The kids got to present their projects

in front of Mrs. Petty, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Stewart and Mr. Degar.

They got rave reviews!

Somehow a congo line started in my room this morning...

Everyone got to take their picture

with the turkey and a pilgrim.

Earlier in the week, we made headbands.

I opted out of using real feathers and we water colored

our own feathers instead.

(fyi: more and more birds are being killed

in order to keep up with the high demand for feathers...

so we went with the animal friendly version)

Star of the Week (Oct. 31-Nov. 4)

Georgia's favorite color is yellow.

When she grows up she wants to be a baker.

She has an older sister in 2nd grade named Mia.

We loved learning all about Georgia!

Week of Oct.31-Nov.4

On Tuesday, we celebrated the 50th day of school by

doing the Zero the Hero Number Stomp and

also watching the video that was sent to us by

Zero the Hero himself (aka Mr. Roberts, 3rd grade teacher...

sshhhh...). Have your child count to you by 5's

and 10's to 100! Also, we got to dress up

in 50's attire for the 50th day of school.

I loved all of the sock hoppers!

Is this the set of Grease?

It's the Outsiders!

We've also been studying farm animals this week.

We have been writing farm books, making farm scenes,

writing the names of farm animals and sorting the animals.

We are even going to have our own class book

published about farm animals!

Our favorite fiction farm books.

Our favorite non fiction farm books.
